# Notifications

> Stay informed in UMS with in-app and email notifications for completed reports, invoice imports, agreement expiry warnings, and other system events.

UMS sends notifications for important events — completed reports, invoice imports, agreement expiry warnings, and more.

## Viewing notifications

Open the user menu (click your avatar in the bottom-left of the sidebar) and select **Notifications** to open the notification drawer. An unread count badge appears on your avatar when you have unread notifications. Notifications include:

* **Report completions** — When a scheduled or manual report finishes generating
* **Invoice imports** — Status updates for bulk invoice uploads
* **Agreement expiry** — Warnings for contracts expiring within 30, 60, or 90 days
* **Brokerage calculations** — When calculation runs complete

Each notification can navigate you directly to the relevant page.

## Notification preferences

Configure which notifications you receive and how:

* **In-app notifications** — Shown in the notification drawer
* **Email notifications** — Sent to your registered email address

## Subscriptions

Subscribe to specific notification types to stay informed about the events that matter most to you. For example, subscribe to agreement expiry notifications for accounts you manage.
