# Suppliers

> Manage the energy retailers, metering providers, and utility service companies your accounts hold agreements with — the counterparties to every contract.

Suppliers represent energy retailers, metering providers, and other utility service companies that your accounts have agreements with.

## Suppliers list

The Suppliers page displays all suppliers in a data grid:

| Column       | Description                                                           |
| ------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Name**     | The supplier company name                                             |
| **Type**     | Supplier type — RETAIL (energy retailer) or METER (metering provider) |
| **Tax Id**   | The supplier's ABN or ACN                                             |
| **Location** | Country code (for example, AU for Australia)                          |

Summary cards show:

* **# Suppliers** — Total active and inactive suppliers
* **New Suppliers** — Added this month and year with growth percentages

### Creating a supplier

Click the **+** button in the top-right corner to add a new supplier.

### Supplier types

| Type       | Description                                                   |
| ---------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **RETAIL** | Energy retailer that supplies electricity, gas, or water      |
| **METER**  | Metering provider responsible for meter installation and data |
